What a whole-trip budget realistically buys from Germany

Rough bands for two people, transport plus stay, outside peak school-holiday weeks:

• Around €300 total: a two-night city break within the low-cost network. Kraków, Budapest, Prague or a Flixbus weekend closer to home. Flights need to stay well under €100 for the pair, which off-peak departures regularly manage.
• Around €600 total: four to five nights with sun. Mallorca or the Spanish coast shoulder-season, Greek mainland, or a comfortable city pair like Vienna plus Budapest in one trip.
• Around €1000 total: a real week away. Canaries or Greek islands in season if you book the flight dip, or a longer city-and-coast combination with a well-rated hotel instead of the cheapest bed.
