How Plavion finds travel deals (and what we refuse to do)

Plavion is an AI travel deal finder built for travelers from the Balkans. You enter where from, where to, dates and travelers; the engine searches the live internet and returns the cheapest ways to get there and the cheapest verified places to stay. This post explains how that works and, just as importantly, the rules we set for ourselves.

Two lists, never packages

Every result is two separate lists: transport and accommodation, each ranked cheapest first. We never bundle them into a package, because bundles hide the math. You might want the cheapest flight with a nicer hotel, or a hostel and the comfortable train. That choice should be yours, with real prices visible for each part.

Every option must have a real booking link

A price without a working link to book it is a rumor. Our engine is required to attach a direct source link to every option it returns: the airline, the bus company, the hotel's listing page. Options that cannot be verified with a link are dropped before you ever see them. You book directly at the source, at the source price. Plavion never adds a markup and never touches your trip payment.

Badges come from statistics, not enthusiasm

Anyone can stamp "top deal" on a card. Plavion records the prices found on every route over time, and once a route has enough history, a deal only gets a badge if its price is genuinely far below what is typical for that route, measured statistically. If the numbers do not support the claim, no badge. The homepage deals grid follows the same rule: it is fed by real searches and a daily price engine, not by an ad calendar.

What a search costs

Live AI research over the open internet costs us real compute, so searches use credits: a quick scan for a fast overview, a deep search when you want minutes of thorough research across many sources. New verified accounts get free credits to try it, failed searches refund automatically, and recent results are served from cache for free. That is the whole model. If Plavion saves you more than it costs, it is doing its job.
